Overview
Combine Ancient Greece with enchanting islands! This travel itinerary combines a
guided tour through the mainland along with island hopping. From Athens to stunning
Meteora, a chance to walk through history in Olympia & Delphi. Then head to
picturesque villages & sunsets of Santorini and the exciting nightlife of Mykonos with
some time out on magnificent beaches.
Tour itinerary
DAY 01 – Arrival Athens:
Welcome! Our transfer service will be waiting for you at Athens Airport and take you
on to the hotel for check-in. Overnight in Athens.

DAY 02 – Athens City Tour:
After breakfast, meet at hotel to join on half day morning regular group tour visiting
the Acropolis (Propylaea, Temple of Athena Nike, Erechtheion and Parthenon) and
the New Acropolis Museum. During the panoramic drive section you have views
from the tour coach of some of the important sights such as Syntagma, House of
Parliament, Memorial to Unknown Soldier, Evzones in picturesque uniform,
Hadrian’s Arch, Temple of Olympian Zeus and the Panathenaic Stadium. The
afternoon and evening then free at leisure for you to further explore the city (Plaka,
Monesteraki flea market, etc) on your own. Overnight in Athens.

DAY 03 – Mainland Tour, Mycenea & Epidaurus:
Breakfast, check-out and join on 04-day Classical Mainland Tour (there is also a 03-
day option excluding Meteora). Depart from Athens by the Coastal Road to the
Corinth Canal (short stop). Drive on and visit the Theatre of Epidauros famous for its
remarkable acoustics. Then proceed to the town of Nauplion (short stop) & drive on
to Mycenae to visit the Archaeological Site and the Tomb of Agamemnon. Depart for
Oympia, “cradle of the Olympic Game” through the Central Peloponnese and the
towns of Tripolis and Megalopolis. Overnight in Olympia.

DAY 04 – Mainland Tour, Olympia:
In the morning visit the Archaeological Site with the Sanctuary of Olympian Zeus, the
Ancient Stadium and the Archaeological Museum. Then drive through the plains of
Eliad and Achaia until the new magnificent bridge which crosses the Corinthian Bay
from Rion to Antirion. Pass by the picturesque towns of Nafpactos (Lepanto) and Itea
until arrival to Delphi. Overnight in Delphi.

DAY 05 – Mainland Tour, Delphi:
Morning visit to the Archaeological Site and the Museum of Delphi. Then depart for
Kalambaka, a small town situated at the foot of the astonishing complex of Meteora.
Overnight Kalambaka.

DAY 06 – Mainland Tour, Kalambaka:
Visit Meteora and enjoy a unique and impressive scenery with ageless Monasteries,
containing priceless historical and religious treasures, standing between Earth and Sky
atop huge rocks. Return to Athens via Trikala, Lamia and Thermopylae (view of
Leonida’s Monument from across the road). Arrival back to Athens in the early
evening. Overnight in Athens. (For the visit to the Monasteries ladies need to wear a
skirt, gentlemen long trousers).

DAY 07 – Athens to Myconos:
Breakfast, check-out and transfer to port for departure on seajet ferry to Mykonos. On
arrival transfer to hotel with remainder of the day and evening free at leisure.
Overnight in Mykonos *Domestic flights to Mykonos also available, let us know your
preference

DAY 08 – Myconos at leisure:
Breakfast at hotel with a full day at leisure to relax on one of the many beaches,
sightsee around Mykonos town or take a day trip to the nearby island of Delos. Don’t
forget about the amazing nightlife for which the island is famous. Overnight in
Mykonos.

DAY 09 – Myconos to Santorini:
Breakfast, check-out and as per your chosen ferry time transfer to port for departure to
Santorini. On arrival meet for transfer to hotel with remainder of the day or evening
free at leisure. Overnight in Santorini

DAY 10 – Santorini at leisure:
Use this day to discover all that is amazing about Santorini. Explore explore around
the town and various villages; hike the scenic route between Fira and Oia; relax on
beaches with black, red and gold coloured sand.For those that don’t wish to explore
on their own, various optional extra excursions available on request. Overnight in
Santorini.

DAY 11 – Santorini to Athens:
Depending on your chosen ferry (or flight time) explore some more of the island
before departing on return to Athens. Arrival and transfer to hotel, overnight in
Athens

DAY 12 – Departure:
Breakfast, check-out and per your international flight departure time transfer to
Athens Airport.
